That is the reason why one of the Bronze Level Champions activities is participating in ATP research – surveys, focus groups, and more. It Doesn’t Have To Be Walk @ Lunch Day To Walk!

We’ve been happy to see several of the companies that registered decide to hold their own Walk at Lunch Day event when the weather got nicer! While we know our awesome gift bags (a pedometer, reflector, and Walkabout Maps inside a cool canvas shoe bag!) were a big draw, it definitely goes to show – it doesn’t have to be National Walk at Lunch Day to walk at lunch with your coworkers!

National Walk at Lunch Day is only a week away! Now is a good time to start planning your walking route, whether it’s just a couple blocks around the office or walking a mile to one of our pit stops and back. Two Arlington organizations have found creative ways to incorporate DC scenery and parkland into their walking routes, making lunchtime exercise enjoyable and picturesque!

Champions Tip of the Week: ART Adopt-a-Stop

Adopting an Arlington Transit (ART) bus stop is probably one of the easiest things a company or property can do – the application is easier than adopting from a pet shelter, the bus stop doesn’t need regular feedings, and you never need to worry about leaving your bus stop alone for the weekend. You do need to do some regular maintenance, but by making it a fun group outing, it can turn into a treat!
