New Bus Routes Start in Arlington Next Week!

It’s about to get easier to travel between Crystal City and the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor during rush hour! Three new bus routes go into effect on Sunday, March 31, providing employees and residents in the County more options for their daily commute. In addition to taking Metro’s Blue Line, riders will now be able to travel by bus on the new ART 43 route as well as the Metrobus 10R and Metrobus 10S lines.


ATP Concludes its Winter Promotion Deal with Capital Bikeshare

Arlington Transportation Partners, in collaboration with Capital Bikeshare, recently concluded a promotional deal for county residents to save $20 on the cost of an annual membership for the regional bikeshare system. As you can imagine, the response was overwhelmingly positive – nearly 100 requests for discount codes were made and over 60 of those codes have been redeemed and used toward annual bikeshare memberships to date!

The Crystal City-Potomac Yard Transitway was recently approved, clearing the way for a new bus service called Metroway! The specially branded buses will have a dedicated bus-only lane and have a different look and feel to the current vehicles seen on Metrobus routes. During last year’s campaign, nearly 140,000 people pledged to telework, taking nearly 12 million miles of driving off the road and saving commuters $12.3 million in travel costs.
