  • Provide residents with subsidized bus service and/or shuttle service to transit
  • Install non-mandated transportation display and/or electronic screen
  • Install free, non-mandated Class I bike parking
  • Adopt or sponsor Capital Bikeshare station
  • Implement a transportation program based on survey results and transportation goals
  • Sponsor an ATP event
  • Offer up to $255/month direct or combination transportation benefit, as defined by the IRS, to property management employees

After completing BRONZE and SILVER Levels, complete this action:
*Site plan properties must be in compliance with County requirements to achieve Gold Level or higher

  • Share or update your property’s transportation success story and/or building highlights with ATP

Complete four additional actions:

  • Conduct an online transportation survey, discuss transportation goals
  • Adopt an ART bus stop
  • Provide free, non-mandated Class II bike parking
  • Host a resident event with ATP
  • Provide non-mandated, free, pre-loaded SmarTrip cards to residents
  • Provide Capital Bikeshare bulk coupons and/or annual memberships for residents and/or property employees
  • Provide on site carsharing/carsharing memberships for residents and/or property employees
  • Assist Arlington County with neighborhood improvement projects (bus shelters, Capital Bikeshare stations, or streetlights)
  • Implement a NEW non-mandated parking fee
  • Offer up to $255/month pre-tax transportation benefit, as defined by the IRS, to property management employees
  • Additional unique program as determined by ATP representative

After completing BRONZE Level, complete four actions:

  • Distribute ATP Connect monthly newsletter or events calendar
  • Participate in/promote at least one of the following events:
    • National Walk Day (April)
    • Bike to Work Day (May)
    • Car Free Day (September)
  • Promote bike commuting at property through distribution of information to residents about bike parking and Arlington County Police Department’s free bike registration
  • Distribute ATP transportation welcome packets to new residents
  • Participate in at least one ATP program:
    • Feedback survey
    • Focus group
    • Arlington County research opportunities
  • Invite ATP to corporate level management meeting
  • Provide electric car charging station or electric bike charging station
  • Contribute content to ATP’s website, blog or social media
  • Attend an ATP networking event
  • Provide and promote mandated transportation facilities at the property

Complete these actions:

  • Host an enrollment and a follow-up Champions meeting
  • Distribute transportation brochures, Quick Glances, Guaranteed Ride Home information to residents and property employees

Complete one additional action:

  • Establish a property management contact for multiple properties
  • Promote at least two transportation programs to residents and employees
    • Capital Bikeshare
    • Carsharing/On-Demand Services (Lyft Line, uberPOOL, etc)
    • Public transportation (Metro, bus, train)
    • Vanpool Connect
  • Participate in an ATP training and/or webinar
